Wireline Technician

We are seeking a skilled Groundhand to join our team at ADB Companies, Inc. as part of our nationwide full turnkey provider of technology infrastructure solutions.

The Groundhand will assist aerial crews in various aspects of line maintenance, repair, and construction. This role requires a strong work ethic, safety focus, and customer-centric approach.

• Performs various aerial construction labor tasks, including preparing and assembling line apparatus, installing ground rods and anchors, and operating construction equipment.
• Keeps work areas clean and organized, ensuring job site cleanliness.
• Maintains proper inventory on vehicles based on work assignments daily.
• Safely uses hand tools and equipment, such as wrenches, drills, ladders, lashers, and chain saws.
• Ensures job site safety and sets up safe perimeters using signage, cones, and safety barriers.
• Heavy lifting is required, and the ability to lift and manipulate lasher and other cable placement equipment is necessary.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by leadership.

The Groundhand will work in a variety of physical positions, including climbing, sitting, standing, walking, and driving. Regular exposure to all weather conditions, especially hot, humid, and/or rainy spring, summer, winter, and fall weather, combined with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.

When working on site, the Groundhand will be required to wear common protective safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and safety boots.

This is an entry-level manual labor position, and prior construction experience is preferred but not required. A valid Driver's License is required, and a High School Diploma or equivalent is required. This position starts at $20/hr and is determined by experience and skillset.
