Job Title: LifeWise Vehicle Driver

As a LifeWise vehicle driver, you will play a vital role in providing safe and reliable transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. Our ideal candidate is responsible, punctual, and has a clean driving record.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site
  • Obey traffic laws and maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus
  • Perform regular inspections of the bus and refuel the vehicle as needed
  • Create and maintain a safe environment for children, enforcing safety rules and assisting students with entering or exiting the vehicle as needed
  • Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if agreed upon with the Director
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Regular driver's license (a copy may be kept on file by the LifeWise program)
  • Appropriate special licenses, including a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with endorsement for driving a passenger vehicle (P) for vehicles seating more than 15 passengers
  • Age requirement: 21-80 years of age, with additional documentation required for drivers above the age of 75
  • Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations within the last five years
  • A mature personal Christian faith consistent with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith and active membership in a church in which teaching aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
