Job Overview

As a key member of our estimating team, you will meticulously analyze project specifications and blueprints to define the scope of work and project requirements, ensuring precise quantity take-offs. Your responsibilities will include evaluating labor and material costs based on historical data, current market prices, and expected delivery schedules. You will create detailed bids, source material pricing, and liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and owners to ensure comprehensive bids that minimize uncertainties and risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to clarify project requirements, timelines, and scope.
  • Receive, assess, and integrate bids from subcontractors during the bidding process.
  • Utilize advanced estimating software such as Sage, eTakeoff, and InSite to enhance the efficiency of estimate preparation and bid generation.
  • Draft written scopes of work, preliminary construction timelines, and General Conditions estimates, while reviewing scopes developed by others.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with architects, engineers, owners, subcontractors, and suppliers, while identifying potential project leads through strategic networking.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, contribute to bid strategies, and assist with project initiation and closure processes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in estimating software (Sage, eTakeoff, InSite).
  • Capability to conduct accurate quantity take-offs.
  • Experience in preparing construction schedules.
  • Expertise in developing General Conditions estimates.
Interpersonal Skills
