Egan Company is seeking skilled professionals to fill the role of Security Technicians for various customer opportunities in the Greater Twin Cities area. This is a union position offering top-rate wages, comprehensive benefits, and a stable work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Install, service, and repair Access, Security, and CCTV systems, as well as peripheral devices.
- Program various security systems, including Lenel, S2, Sielox, and Bosch.
- Assist with the start-up and commissioning of new equipment or system installations.
- Overcome challenges on retrofits and new installations.
- Train and instruct new users on life safety equipment.
- Daily communication with the Project Manager.
- Completion of daily safety and additional documents.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience installing and programming Fire Alarm Systems.
- Valid MN Power Limited Technician license.
- NICET Certification preferred (Egan Company can assist with certification).
- Knowledge of current codes when applicable.
- Valid driver's license for travel between job sites.
- 3-year Limited Energy JATC training or equivalent experience in the industry.
- Current IBEW Member or willingness to join the local IBEW.
- Overtime may be required based on workload.
- Ability to read and mark up prints.
- Leadership and team direction skills.
- Effective interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds (alone) or 50 to 85 pounds with assistance.
