The Construction Installation Specialist plays a crucial role within the production team, ensuring the secure delivery and precise installation of Division 10 Specialties materials on commercial construction projects, guided by a Lead Installation Technician and Superintendent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently load, unload, and safely store project materials at construction sites.
- Thoroughly comprehend detailed work orders and architectural plans to execute project installations effectively.
- Install a variety of Division 10 Specialties items, including bath accessories, mirrors, and wire shelving; assist in the setup of mailboxes and bike racks.
- Accurately complete work orders and document detailed notes on tasks performed and material concerns using project management applications.
- Communicate effectively with general contractors and superintendents on-site, following directions from the Lead Installation Technician and/or Project Manager.
- Occasionally assign daily tasks to Assistant Installation Technicians and assist the Lead Installation Technician in their on-the-job training.
- Maintain organized files for multiple projects.
- Ensure regular maintenance of company vehicles and manage tools responsibly.
- Participate in monthly staff meetings and training sessions.
- Occasionally engage in pre-construction meetings.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of experience in carpentry and/or construction is required.
- Must possess essential tools, including a tape measure, drill, impact driver, hacksaw, hammer, and screwdrivers.
- A valid driver's license is mandatory.
- Some travel may be necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Proven flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
- Must be capable of safely lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.
