Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Facilities Shift Supervisor, the incumbent will lead a preventive maintenance team consisting of four (4) members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the policies and procedures set forth by the organization.
  • Execute all preventive maintenance tasks on systems and maintain accurate log books.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of guest accommodations to ensure proper upkeep and maintenance.
  • Perform repairs related to plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, painting, carpeting, fixtures, and general cleaning.
  • Oversee the care of 500 guest rooms, managing a four (4) person crew.
  • Maintain technical logs and record all relevant data as necessary.
  • Understand the policies, procedures, and schedules of Seminole Gaming to minimize disruption to operations and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Foster positive relations with both the public and employees at all times.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment within the area of responsibility.
  • Carry out any other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or technical certification is required, along with a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in commercial or industrial plumbing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, and occasionally taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The work environment is typically fast-paced and may be crowded and noisy. Employees may be exposed to environmental factors associated with the gaming industry.
  • Must be able to work in various environments, including high and low places, and be near insulation and under fixtures.
  • Effective communication in English is essential for interacting with guests regarding job duties and responsibilities.
  • Excellent hand/eye coordination and close vision are required.
  • Flexibility to work various schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is necessary.
