Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field to ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment.
  • Assist the surgical team with patient positioning, instrument setup, and equipment preparation.
  • Provide accurate counting techniques for instruments, sponges, and tools to maintain a high level of quality and safety.
  • Transport and transfer patients with care and attention to detail.
  • Apply safety procedures and principles in all actions to minimize risks and ensure patient safety.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a Surgical Technician Certificate Program or equivalent experience as an OR Tech.
  • BLS certification and maintenance.
  • Prefer six months to one year of OR experience in a scrub role.
  • Ability to read, write, hear, and follow verbal and/or written instructions.

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 340+ bed facility offering acute medical services to our patients. We are Johnson County's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center.
