Job SummaryThe Maintenance Technician II will be responsible for repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. This includes installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to mentor junior technicians and develop their skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure a Safe Working Environment: Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures and protocols.
- Complete Preventative Maintenance Routines: Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our equipment.
- Troubleshoot Electrical and Mechanical Problems: Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.
- Maintain Positive Working Relationships: Maintain positive working relationships across all of the Amazon Operations facility.
- Track and Store Department Inventory: Track and store department inventory to ensure that all necessary materials are available for maintenance and repair.
- Work a Flexible Schedule: Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays, to meet the needs of the business.
- 1+ Years of Microsoft Office Products and Applications Experience: 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
- High School or Equivalent Diploma: High school or equivalent diploma.
- Flexible Schedule: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- Associates or Higher Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Field: Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
- 2+ Years of Experience with Automated Conveyor Systems and Controls: 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
- 2+ Years of Experience in Repair of Material Handling Equipment: 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment.
- 2+ Years of Experience Conducting Predictive and Preventative Maintenance Procedures: 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
- 1+ Years of Metal and Wood Fabrication: 1+ years of metal and wood fabrication.
- 1+ Years of Blueprint and Electrical Schematic Reading: 1+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
- 1+ Year of Knowledge with Electrical and Electronic Principles: 1+ year of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles.
- 2+ Years Apprenticeship or Equivalent Experience in Mechanical or Electrical Field: 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
- Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Safety Standards: Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards.
