Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Abuse Therapist/Case Manager to join our interdisciplinary team at the Florida Recovery Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive treatment services to individuals with substance use disorders and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Function effectively as a Florida Chapter 397 qualified professional or Florida license-eligible psychotherapist in substance use disorders.
  • Manage all aspects of assigned caseload, including initial and ongoing assessment of clinical needs, development and implementation of individualized treatment plans, and coordination of discharge/follow-up care.
  • Initiate, facilitate, and manage communication with referral source professionals and other collateral professionals involved in assigned cases.
  • Perform effectively as an individual, group, and family therapist under clinical supervision.
  • Develop and provide therapeutic and educational activities utilizing individual, family, and group modalities.
  • Provide on-call coverage and holiday coverage on a rotating basis with other therapists.
  • Assure patient's rights are protected, including HIPAA and CFR 42 confidentiality.
  • Write and send high-quality and timely reports to collateral professionals as authorized by the patient.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive discharge plans/continuity of care plans in concert with FRC treatment team and collateral professionals.
  • Document patient care in accordance with ASAM, hospital standards, and other accrediting standards.
Qualifications
  • Masters or Ph.D. in a mental health-related field required.
  • Non-licensed individuals must have a minimum of one year of clinically supervised experience, with preference in substance abuse disorders or co-occurring disorders.
  • Supervised clinical internship during graduate school qualifies towards the one year.
  • Experience working in addictions and/or behavioral health co-occurring disorders is recommended.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Recovery professional must have a minimum of three years of continuous sobriety immediately preceding and concurrent with hire date.
