We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at VetJobs. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance activities of our manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, lead, and direct the daily activities of a team of millwrights, electricians, mechanics, and planners in the areas of Safety, Quality, and Maintenance for all equipment, buildings, and rolling stock.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance processes to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Administer and report on maintenance activities, including budgeting and cost control.
- Support the improvement of key performance indicators and continuous improvement of maintenance functions.
- Develop and train associates, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Participate in and/or lead initiatives for capital projects and problem-solving activities as assigned.
- Ensure purchasing functions follow established policies and procedures.
- Support, maintain, and improve processes associated with the computerized maintenance management system.
- Facilitate team meetings and trainings with assigned team.
- Identify safety, environmental, quality, and production issues.
- Provide leadership for the ongoing development of the maintenance team.
- Support training and development plans to improve skills, knowledge, and team performance.
- Encourage innovation and lead the team by proactively resolving employee issues, building teamwork, and ensuring adherence to all applicable site policies and procedures.
- Staff, recruit, and retain talent.
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of three (3) years maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong business leadership skills with the ability to understand and support the site's vision, strategy, goals, and targets.
- Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance methods.
- Proven skills in hydraulics and pneumatics troubleshooting.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Ability to perform a root cause analysis and effectively initiate corrective/preventative actions.
- Excellent team building, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in and lead diverse teams.
- Track record of consistently demonstrating collaborative and inclusive leadership skills as well as positive influence, with accomplishments in proactively influencing safety, quality, productivity, and people development.
- Ability to provide innovative solutions to continuously improve maintenance processes and eliminate unscheduled downtime.
- Ability to plan, lead, and execute day-to-day maintenance activities.
- Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as conditions require.
- Must be computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to learn and use software associated with maintenance tracking systems.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures and at heights when conditions warrant.
- Uploaded resume detailing work experience must be included in order to be considered for this position.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering highly preferred.
- Experience in electrical and PLC programming and/or troubleshooting.
- Vocational Technical training certificate.
- Knowledgeable of Engineered Wood Products manufacturing.
- Experience with LEAN processes.
- Experience with SAP, Maximo, or other computerized maintenance tracking software.

Compensation and BenefitsThis role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $79,300 to $119,000 based on your level of skills, qualifications, and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 7% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.
