Echocardiography Instructor

South Suburban College is seeking a highly qualified Echocardiography Instructor to join our team. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will play a crucial role in teaching and developing our Echocardiography program.

The Echocardiography Instructor will be responsible for teaching and coordinating the Echocardiography program, ensuring that students meet the learning objectives and program accreditation requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac sonography, teaching experience, and excellent communication skills.

• Teach Echocardiography courses and laboratories, selecting and implementing instructional strategies to meet student learning objectives.
• Develop and maintain course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, and other course materials.
• Assess student achievement and provide feedback to students.
• Maintain student records, attendance, grades, and other documentation as required.

• Associate degree in cardiac sonography with 3-5 years of clinical experience.
• Current ARDMS, (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) credentials in cardiac sonography.
• Registration in at least one cardiovascular specialty for which they assume a primary teaching role.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Knowledge of CAAHEP/JRC-DMS Standards and experience with writing for accreditation.
• At least three years of teaching experience on a college level and affiliated with an accredited cardiac sonography program.
