Job Summary

The Business Information Consultant-ETL Developer is a key role within Elevance Health, responsible for serving as an expert in data analysis, reporting, and formulating recommendations to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop databases to track business performance, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Analyze complex data sets, summarizing performance using statistical procedures and providing insights to stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain business performance reports, highlighting performance deviations and anomalies.
  • Create and publish periodic reports, as well as ad-hoc reports, to support business needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business issues and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Provide analytical consultation to business areas, leadership, and external customers, ensuring data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

  • Requires a BS/BA degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience; or any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background.
  • Experience with relational databases, query tools, and statistical software is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manipulate large data sets and develop APIs is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, ETL tools, and data pipelines is preferred.
  • Strong SQL and analytical skills, with experience working with various database management systems.

Preferred Skills and Experiences

  • Experience working with cloud platforms, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Knowledge of various core AWS services, including IAM, CloudFormation, EC2, S3, ECS, EMR/Spark, SQS, SNS, Glue suite, Data Catalog, Crawler, Data Sync, Cloud Health, CloudWatch, Lambda, Athena, Quicksight, DMS, and Redshift.
  • Experience working with relational databases, including Oracle, SQL Server, T-SQL scripts, and stored procedures.
  • Experience working in event-driven architecture, with hands-on experience working with JSON and tools like RabbitMQ.
  • Experience working with Sybase and MongoDB.

Work Environment

Elevance Health operates in a hybrid workforce strategy, requiring associates to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.
