Position Overview

As a vital member of the healthcare team, the Registered Nurse in the Acute Medical Unit is responsible for delivering exceptional patient care. This role involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the well-being of patients during their stay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive patient care by assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions in accordance with established standards.
  • Foster a patient-centered approach, educating patients and their families on managing health conditions, including post-treatment care and medication protocols.
  • Engage in initiatives that enhance patient safety, quality of care, and compliance with regulatory standards while pursuing ongoing professional development.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and document individualized care plans that reflect the patient's needs and preferences.
  • Utilize critical nursing skills to assess and address the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of patients, ensuring a holistic approach to care.
  • Maintain a state of alertness and safety, as this role is classified as safety-sensitive.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing.
  • Experience: No prior experience required.
  • Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Experience: Less than 2 years in a nursing role.
