Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reconciliation: Lead and manage the monthly reconciliation of the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Payroll and Reporting: Assist in payroll and month-end reports, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Financial Planning: Prepare month-end journal entries to reflect financial transactions and oversee the maintenance of various account schedules.
  • Payroll Tax Compliance: Manage the company's payroll tax accounts, ensuring compliance with state regulations and overseeing the filing of relevant returns.
  • Financial Systems: Assist in the implementation and utilization of projects via Unanet to track and streamline financial procedures.
  • Customer Billing: Assist in the preparation of customer billing documents, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in the customer billing process.
  • Accounts Reconciliation: Aid in accounts reconciliation and maintain accurate cash balances.
  • Payroll Support: Support the preparation of payroll, ensuring accurate data entries, and addressing any corrections needed in timesheets.
  • Financial Leadership: Work closely with the Accounting Manager to lead and coordinate month-end activities and transactions, ensuring financial statements are prepared accurately and on time.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience working on federal projects; OR Minimum of five (5) years of combined experience and education.
  • Skills: Demonstrates a strong understanding of both Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Must have the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Possesses good communication skills, both oral and written.
