We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Killeen Independent School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services to students with disabilities, with a focus on enhancing their classroom performance.
Key Responsibilities- Comply with all legal and ethical guidelines of the Texas Occupational Therapy Practice Act.
- Organize and implement occupational therapy services and supports.
- Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other required documents.
- Provide direct, integrated, and consultative occupational therapy intervention for individual students and/or groups.
- Coordinate with school personnel, guardians, and outside agencies regarding the needs of individual students.
- Supervise occupational therapy assistants and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners License as Occupational Therapist.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before administrators, parents, students, and the general public.
The work environment is typically quiet to moderate, with frequent district-wide travel to multiple campuses as assigned.
