Nurse - Cardiovascular ICU

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular ICU team at Ascension St. John. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Your responsibilities will include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition as appropriate, serving as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders, and assessing and coordinating patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to ensure that all members of the healthcare team are informed and can provide the best possible care.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care to ensure that all aspects of patient care are addressed and that patients receive the best possible care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders to ensure that all necessary care is provided to patients.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team to ensure a smooth transition of care and to ensure that patients receive the best possible care after discharge.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration: Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.
