About the Role:
As a vital contributor to the material science center within Dexcom's research and development division, the Senior Process Engineer will collaborate with a team of engineers, scientists, and technicians to advance the development of next-generation CGM sensor membrane materials.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate and maintain polymer synthesis and analytical testing equipment to support technical feasibility and development initiatives.
2. Troubleshoot and repair chemical processing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
3. Assist in the design and qualification of new equipment and facilities.
4. Develop and implement design of experiments (DOE) and testing protocols to gain insights into processing-structure relationships.
5. Monitor process parameters to ensure compliance with specifications.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, supply chain, and quality assurance, to ensure project success.
7. Prepare comprehensive documentation, including laboratory notebooks and manufacturing process instructions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, with 5-8 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 2-5 years of industry experience, or a PhD with 0-2 years of experience.
- Strong background in polymer science or engineering, with hands-on experience in polymer synthesis and processing.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as GLP, GMP, and ISO as they pertain to medical devices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and proficiency in statistical analysis methods.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
