Job SummaryWe are seeking a certified nursing assistant to join our team as a Hospice Aide. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a healthcare setting, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for providing exceptional patient care.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting patients with daily living activities, maintaining a safe and healthy environment, and promoting emotional and psychological well-being. Responsibilities- Assist patients with personal care activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment by following infection control measures and standard precautions
- Prepare and serve light meals, assist with feeding patients when needed, and promote mental alertness through involvement in activities of interest
- Provide basic emotional and psychological support to patients and their families, reporting any changes in their condition or home situation to the registered nurse and interdisciplinary team
- Document visit itineraries accurately and attend staff meetings to participate in quality improvement activities
To be eligible for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
- Six months of patient care experience in hospice, home health, ICU, geriatric, or oncology
- Current driver's license and automobile insurance
- CPR certification
