Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate - Forklift Operator to join our team at Performance Food Group. As a key member of our distribution center team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of products through our warehouse, while maintaining a safe and inclusive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks, to transport and store products in a timely manner.
  • Locate and retrieve products from storage racks, and replenish pick slots with outgoing stock items according to next day's work orders.
  • Rotate date-sensitive stock to the front of the rack and/or remove outdated inventory according to company policy.
  • Disperse over-stocked items to available slots for temporary storage.
  • Remove empty pallets, cardboard packing, and strapping to the proper area or receptacles.
  • Inspect products for damage, perform temperature and quality checks, and take appropriate action as needed.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the work area as needed.
  • Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
  • 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience
  • Able to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position
  • Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout the shift
  • Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location, throughout the shift
  • Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e., cooler, freezer, and dry
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of warehouse and/or distribution work experience using a motorized Stand-Up Reach Truck Forklift
  • Foodservice distribution or related industry experience
  • Motorized pallet jack and/or forklift certified
