Job Title: Court Advocate - Nampa Family Justice CenterJob Summary:
The City of Nampa is seeking a Court Advocate to join our team at the Nampa Family Justice Center. As a Court Advocate, you will play a critical role in providing support and advocacy services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder abuse, and stalking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct advocacy and support to victims by assisting with CPO paperwork and filings.
- Support petitioners during CPO hearings and provide follow-up with clients before and after hearings.
- Teach CPO orientation class as needed and maintain ongoing interaction with the Court Case Manager.
- Work cooperatively with partnering agencies and actively pursue ongoing training and opportunities to understand more in the field of DV, SA, Stalking, CA, and EA.
Requirements:
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge base of the resources at the Nampa Family Justice Center and the surrounding communities.
Work Environment:
Work is performed primarily in an office environment and/or at the courthouse. The employee in this class is subject to inside environmental conditions.
