Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of the flight school, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and providing guidance to flight instructors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the operational aspects of the flight school, including stage check and end of course flights
  • Hire and standardize flight instructors, ensuring they meet federal regulations
  • Monitor all flight operations and ensure compliance with applicable FAA regulations
  • Receive and process student progress reports from flight instructors
  • Work closely with the aviation program team to develop and implement program strategies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Three years of practical experience in aviation, preferably with a collegiate program
  • Operational experience with a collegiate aviation program is highly desirable
  • Must meet all federal requirements for designation as a Chief Flight Instructor under 14 CFR part 141
  • Commercial Pilot - Single-Multi-Engine - ATP certification preferred
  • Certified Flight Instructor - Single-Multi-Engine - Gold Seal certification preferred
  • Certified Instrument Instructor - Single-Multi-Engine Ground Instructor Certification preferred
