NexGen HVAC & Plumbing is seeking a skilled HVAC Installer to join our team. As an HVAC Installer, you will be responsible for installing, replacing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
Key Responsibilities- Install and replace HVAC equipment, including ductwork, attic and/or vertical splits, rooftop package units, and other related components.
- Maintain good working order of company vehicles and ensure proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment are on hand.
- Travel to job sites in the service area and work with dispatch to ensure schedules are maintained and delays are properly communicated to customers.
- Design duct systems for optimal comfort and efficiency.
- Engage with homeowners to understand their concerns and interests regarding their AC systems, which may lead to potential accessory sales or new system replacements.
- Understand company pricing programs and generate customer invoices and other paperwork at the job site and electronically process credit card payments.
- Participate in company-provided training opportunities on customer service and the latest industry technologies.
- Coach and mentor apprentices and entry-level installers.
- 2+ years of experience with knowledge in refrigeration function and theory, the ability to diagnose and perform replacement of HVAC-related components.
- Type II EPA Certification.
- Excellent customer service skills with a strong desire to exceed customer expectations.
- Minimum tool requirements: basic hand tools, wrenches, screwdrivers, sheet metal/duct tools, and hammers.
- Minimum testing equipment usage: refrigerant gauges, manometers, magnahelics, C/O detectors, psychrometers, and micron gauges.
- Working knowledge of city codes.
- Ability to work independently in a timely manner, ensuring jobs are completed correctly the first time.
- Ability to crawl in tight spaces and climb ladders, work in attics, garages, crawl spaces, and on roofs.
