Oncology Nurse Specialist

As an Oncology Nurse, you will play a vital role in a patient's journey toward healing by ensuring accurate, timely results that drive better outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Create individualized care plans for patients under their supervision and care.
- Recognize and treat cancer-related issues.
- Monitor and chart vital signs, weight, and height.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to share expertise and knowledge.
- Conduct cancer research to enhance treatment protocols assigned to cancer patients.
- Provide supportive resources to patients and their families to promote a positive outlook.
- Teach patients and their families regarding treatment expectations.
- Watch and record patient progress on a constant basis.
- Chart patient response to treatment and medication.
- Complete MAR after treatment.
- Provide patients with discharge instructions specific to their needs and emergency contact information.
- Valid RN License in the State of New York.
- At least 1 year of experience in oncology outpatient and at least 1 year of experience in administering medications.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
- Good computer knowledge.
- Bi-lingual, English/Spanish a plus.
