Responsibilities
  • Inspect Room Attendant's work performance to ensure standards and productivity levels are met.
  • Assume Housekeeping Manager functions in their absence, including inspecting V.I.P. rooms and reporting availability to the Front Office.
  • Oversee the closing of floors, ensuring Room Attendant's carts are clean and restocked.
  • Maintain key control and handle items for 'Lost and Found' according to standards.
  • Monitor cleanliness and orderliness of Room Attendant's carts, linen closets, control closets, stairways, and landings.
  • Assign duties to Room Attendants and House Attendants, ensuring they carry a work assignment.
  • Report on progress of out-of-order rooms to the Guest Services Manager.
  • Initiate work orders for repairs and maintenance, and follow through until completed.
  • Assist with training of Housekeeping staff.
  • May be required to clean rooms as business needs dictate.
  • Ensure completion of cleaning projects on a biannual basis.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Requirements
  • At least two to three years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
  • Ability to stand during entire shift.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
