About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Equipment Technician to join our team as a Senior Fleet Mechanic on the 2nd shift in St Louis, MO.

This role offers a unique opportunity to utilize your expertise in troubleshooting and repairing diesel equipment while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Repair Diesel Equipment: Perform comprehensive diagnoses and repairs on various types of diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, and lift gates.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of our fleet vehicles.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately document all repair orders, parts used, and labor hours spent on each job, maintaining accurate records for future reference.
  • Road Service Calls: Respond promptly to road service calls, providing timely assistance to drivers and operators when they encounter issues with their vehicles.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of technical expertise, mechanical aptitude, and excellent communication skills.

  • Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of 7 years of verifiable experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic. A valid Class-A CDL license is also essential.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to EPA and OSHA regulations, maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to strict guidelines for equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Physical Demands: This role requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 100 pounds, as well as occasional driving and climbing.
