Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in our healthcare team, assisting in the delivery of patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Under the guidance of Registered Nurses, LPNs direct and guide patient teaching activities, utilizing established medical records systems as applicable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in assessing patients' physical, psychological, and social dimensions.
- Participate in developing individual treatment plans in collaboration with Registered Nurses, Physicians, and Correctional Officers.
- Implement medical plans by administering medications and interventions as instructed by Providers.
- Document patient responses, effectiveness, complications, and other relevant information.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current, unrestricted State Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) License.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- A minimum of one year of clinical experience, with correctional experience preferred.
