Job Summary

The Department of Medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School seeks a qualified candidate for a full-time academic position in Interventional Gastroenterology. The successful candidate will be interested in EUS, ERCP, Endobariatrics, Endohepatology, and POEM. This position will support general and advanced gastroenterology consultation and procedures, training of gastroenterology and hepatology fellows, educational needs for the internal medicine residency program, and research in gastroenterology. The candidate must possess clinical, teaching, and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities will include patient care, research, and teaching in concert with the policies of Rutgers NJMS, University Hospital, and the Division of Gastroenterology & Advanced Endoscopy.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders
Conduct research in gastroenterology and hepatology
Teach gastroenterology and hepatology to medical students, residents, and fellows
Participate in curriculum development and educational programs
Collaborate with faculty and staff to achieve departmental goals

Requirements

MD or DO degree
Board certification in Gastroenterology and Advanced Endoscopy
Experience in EUS, ERCP, Endobariatrics, Endohepatology, and POEM
Strong clinical, teaching, and interpersonal skills
