  • Food Service Operations: Assist in restocking and setting up food service areas, ensuring that all areas are fully stocked and clean.
  • Inventory Management: Restock cashier supplies, including paper products, cleaning supplies, and other essential items.
  • Reporting and Record Keeping: Complete paperwork related to cashier operations, including transfer of funds reports, closing reports, and cash reconciliation sheets.
Requirements
  • Experience: One year of experience as a cashier in a large-scale operation, preferably in a food service or retail environment.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to operate a point-of-sale system (POS) and maintain accurate records.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, push and pull up to 50 pounds, and stand for long periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: High school graduation or equivalent.
  • Experience: Two or more years of experience as a cashier in a large-scale operation.
  • Technical Skills: Experience using a point-of-sale system (POS) and familiarity with inventory management software.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent customer interactions. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is $18.00 per hour. The University of Texas at Austin offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
