Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to oversee the activities of our production team and ensure the efficient production of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Production Team: Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of production associates to ensure adequate, efficient production levels while maintaining established quality levels, scheduled ship dates, and safety protocols.
  • Conduct Performance Evaluations: Conduct regular performance evaluations of production associates, providing constructive feedback and coaching to improve performance and address any issues.
  • Maintain Safety Protocols: Continuously monitor plant conditions and associate actions for compliance to established safety regulations, taking immediate corrective action when necessary. Investigate accidents and prepare necessary reports.
  • Manage Attendance and Timekeeping: Maintain accurate attendance records for assigned associates, ensuring that attendance issues are reported and handled in accordance with the attendance policy. Review and correct information in E-Time for timekeeping of production associates' hours.
  • Operate within Budget: Operate within established department budget, preparing monthly budget commentary and recommending corrective action as necessary.
  • Cost Reduction and Efficiency: Suggest, investigate, and participate in cost reduction initiatives, reviewing efficiency reports for accuracy and following up with associates as necessary.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain a working knowledge of equipment and processes, overseeing routine preventive maintenance and requesting repairs as required to ensure equipment is maintained in a proper manner.
  • Good Housekeeping and Safety: Maintain good housekeeping, safety, and industrial hygiene practices, ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED equivalency, plus five (5) years in a manufacturing environment or a four (4) year college degree. Two (2) years supervisory experience or four (4) years of manufacturing experience.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Knowledge of manufacturing production methods, quality assurance techniques, and general safety programs. Plastics manufacturing experience is preferred. Good verbal and written communication skills, basic math skills, and good human relations skills.
