ALS Instructor

Regions Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a per diem Advanced (ALS) Instructor position. As an Advanced (ALS) Instructor, you will be responsible for instructing advanced level EMS courses, with the ability to take a lead role. This position will instruct courses independently and cooperatively with per diem instructors. The instructor must be able to develop curriculum at both the basic and advanced level and be able and willing to instruct at the basic level as needed.

• Participate in mandatory development and preparatory meetings
• Prepare and clean-up of classroom and skills materials/equipment
• Evaluate material and actively participate in the improvement of this material
• Take a lead role when appropriate
• Support program development and special projects

• 2 years of teaching or mentoring experience prior to being hired
• 2 year full-time (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in pre-hospital, emergency or critical care settings
• Possess a valid driver's license and maintenance of a clean driving record in accordance to Regions Hospital standards and policies
• Current NREMT, Minnesota or Wisconsin paramedic license -or Current Minnesota or Wisconsin nurse licensure
