Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Seth Ellis Chocolatier, LLC in Lawrence, KS.

About the Role

This is a key position responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various equipment and systems in our production facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical background, a commitment to safety, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, repair or replace parts as needed, and implement effective solutions to prevent future problems.
  • Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance logs, including work performed, parts used, and equipment status, and collaborate with production staff, supervisors, and quality control teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all company safety policies, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensure that all equipment meets safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a related field is a plus, with minimum 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in food production equipment.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong mechanical aptitude, experience with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and diagrams, excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, and move around for extended periods, and work in environments involving high temperatures or loud machinery.
