About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Senior Transportation Engineer to join our team in the Cincinnati, OH office. This is an exciting opportunity to work on transformational projects, including the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor project, one of the largest highway infrastructure projects in the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and provide technical expertise for mid- to large-size projects.
  • Lead technical client relationships and play a major role in selling.
  • Lead discipline department efforts to grow technical expertise.
  • Lead technical business development work.
  • Provide specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
  • Approve and sign off on work.
  • Leader in one or more areas of technology.
  • Provide estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large, complex projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • BS in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • 15+ years of related experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Ohio or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire if current PE is out of state.
  • Computer skills using Microsoft office, HCS, Synchro, HISSM, AutoCAD, and MicroStation preferred. Strong familiarity with InRoads a plus.
  • Prior experience working on traffic safety design projects preferred.
  • Individuals with related experience in traffic signal design, traffic control, traffic crash analysis, traffic studies, or roadway design will also be considered.
  • Prior experience working with the Ohio Department of Transportation is a plus.
