Job Title: Day Porter Full Time Position

We are seeking a highly organized and dedicated individual to join our team as a Day Porter. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our clients and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • General Cleaning: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to remove dirt, debris, and dust. Empty and clean waste receptacles and dispose of trash. Clean and sanitize surfaces such as desks, countertops, and tables. Dust furniture, equipment, and fixtures. Clean and polish windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces. Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures. Refill restroom supplies (e.g., soap, paper towels, toilet paper).
  • Floor Maintenance: Strip, wax, and buff hard surface floors. Shampoo and extract carpets and rugs. Remove stains and spills from floors.
  • Specialized Cleaning: Follow specific cleaning protocols for sensitive areas (e.g., repair rooms, server rooms). Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces, including door handles and light switches. Use appropriate cleaning agents for different surfaces and materials. Operate specialized cleaning equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, carpet extractors).
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to policies and complete all required and mandatory training timely. Follow established safety guidelines and procedures. Adhere to health and safety regulations related to cleaning chemicals and equipment. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel. Maintain knowledge of and comply with Ecobrite's and Client's security and confidentiality policies.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in commercial or institutional cleaning is an asset.
  • Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment. Ability to follow instructions and work independently. Good organizational and time management skills. Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks. Effective communication skills to interact with coworkers and supervisors.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods. Lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) as required. Bend, stoop, and reach clean low and high areas. Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to cleaning chemicals.

Pay Rate: $17 to $22 per hour Depending on Experience
