  • Drive the truck to designated locations.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of the vehicle before and after trips, documenting any issues.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of cargo.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the truck and trailer as necessary.
  • Collect receipts for all loads picked up.
  • Keep an accurate log of mileage and fuel receipts in compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain communication with supervisors via telephone or radio for delivery instructions.
  • Inspect vehicle equipment and supplies, including tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires and replacing light bulbs.
  • Secure cargo during transit using blocks and ropes.
  • Ensure the storage area for trucks is kept clean and organized.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Possession of Fork Lift Licenses from Mechanical Devices Company and a valid CDL.
  • Basic math skills and general reasoning ability.
