Cloud Engineer Job Description

Northrop Grumman is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to support programs at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using AWS, GitLab, Kubernetes, and related Cloud technologies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Support a production environment on site at NASIC/WPAFB.
Requirements:
  • Active Department of Defense Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience implementing Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, etc.
  • IAT Level II certification such as CASP+ or Security+.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with DOD Cloud solutions such as DAF CLOUDworks, etc.
  • VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG), Rancher, or similar DevOps architectures.
  • Experience with OCI-compliant container technology and tools (Docker, Podman, etc.).
  • Cloud related certifications.
  • Experience developing automation techniques that improve deployment speed and service reliability in the containerized environment.
  • Knowledgeable in development of CI/CD Pipelines.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment/working knowledge of Agile principles and practices.

Salary Range: $79,000.00 - $118,900.00

Salary Range 2: $97,000.00 - $146,300.00
