Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct nutritional assessments and evaluations to identify patients' nutritional needs and develop personalized nutrition therapy plans.
  • Provide patient education and counseling on healthy eating habits and nutrition-related topics.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate patients' progress, making adjustments to nutrition therapy plans as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in nutrition and dietetics, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
  • Current, valid, and active license and/or certification to practice as a Registered Dietitian in the state of employment.
  • Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience in a hospital setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.
  • Knowledge in modern principles and practices of dietetics.
  • Knowledge in safety and sanitation standards applicable to hospital food service.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
