Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse Bridge

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a bridge to our RN program. This is an exciting opportunity for LPNs to transition into a RN role while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Job Summary:

This position is designed for LPNs who are currently enrolled in an LPN to RN educational bridging program. As a bridge nurse, you will work in one of our inpatient units while attending school, providing high-quality patient care and developing your skills in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to patients at an advanced level of practice, including vital sign checks, procedures, and medication administration.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, feeding, and positioning.
  • Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients and families, adhering to hospital standards.
  • Monitor patient medical conditions and report changes to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare patients for scheduled procedures and assist with examinations and procedures.
  • Arrange for diagnostic and therapeutic services as needed.
  • Provide health care instruction and education to patients and families.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of patient medical records and confidentiality.
  • Perform administrative duties, including supply management and equipment maintenance.
Qualifications:
  • Current LPN license in PA
  • BCLS/ACLS/PALS certification, as required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Completion of accredited LPN program
  • Rhythm recognition course per unit of assignment
