The Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) at Memorial Healthcare System is actively seeking a skilled and dedicated Maternal Fetal Medicine physician to enhance our expanding team.
Position Highlights:
- Memorial serves as a quaternary care regional referral center, catering to a diverse demographic with over 13,000 deliveries each year.
- Applicants must be board eligible/certified in MFM, possessing substantial expertise in ultrasound, fetal diagnostic evaluations, and managing both medical and surgical complications along with co-morbidities during pregnancy.
- This role involves a high-volume, consultative service that addresses a wide array of rare and intricate conditions.
- Key responsibilities include conducting prenatal diagnostic procedures, such as amniocentesis, alongside inpatient and outpatient management of pregnancy-related co-morbidities in collaboration with obstetricians.
- Our approach emphasizes multidisciplinary teamwork with an exceptional group of subspecialists, particularly in relation to maternal and fetal navigation initiatives.
- The Division works closely with High-Risk Obstetric Hospitalists in our Placental Accreta Center of Excellence, as well as the Pediatric Surgery Department at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital to develop a comprehensive Fetal Care Center.
- The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong interest in resident and medical student education, as we play a vital role in Memorial's ACGME-accredited Ob/Gyn Residency Program.
- There are also opportunities to engage in deliveries and surgical procedures, especially concerning accretas and cerclages, if desired.
- Collaboration with a pediatric surgeon trained in fetal surgery is anticipated, and there are prospects for involvement in clinical research.
- Experience with chorionic villus sampling (CVS), fetal procedures, and/or critical care is advantageous but not mandatory.
- This is an employed position within the multispecialty Memorial Physician Group.
