Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Multimedia Journalist to join our team at Hearst Television. As a key member of our news team, you will be responsible for capturing the essence of what's happening in the field and bringing it vividly into the homes of our viewers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shoot, edit, and execute live shots for stories
  • Coordinate feeds, edit with both the eye and ear, and coordinate content elements for multiple shows
  • Utilize ENG, SNG, and wireless data to feed completed work to the station
  • Develop and maintain a keen eye for quality video and sound
  • Work with reporters and producers to ensure the best content and facts are gathered
  • Communicate and coordinate incoming video elements from crews in the field
  • Produce and publish content to online platforms

Requirements:

  • Excellent shooting and editing skills
  • Time-management ability and effective communication style
  • Organization and knowledge of Precis and network feed platforms
  • Ability to work with catalog systems to record and locate necessary video
  • Computer and software experience
  • Ability to easily carry up to 50 pounds of equipment
  • Efficient operation on ENG trucks
  • Exceptional ability to operate digital editing tools
