Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity to join the Virginia Department of Human Resource Management as an HVAC Superintendent. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of construction projects statewide.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with expertise in commercial construction trades, particularly HVAC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, supervision, and instruction of minimal-skilled workforces.

About the Role

As an HVAC Superintendent, you will play a critical role in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will be responsible for coordinating daily job site activities, exercising sound ethical judgment, and using resources appropriately. Additionally, you will need to identify and proactively resolve conflicts, deliver projects in accordance with plans, specifications, budget, and schedule.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid State-issued driver's license, and primarily skilled in Construction Trade; HVAC in Commercial Applications. Additionally, you should have experience in at least two commercial construction trades, supervision, and instruction of a minimal-skilled workforce in the commercial construction arena.

Preferred Qualifications

- Current DPOR HVAC construction trades licensure
- EPA 608 refrigerant certification
- Experience in operations of construction earthmoving equipment
