Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Driver Class A to join our team at NB Handy. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive trucks to destinations, providing accurate, timely, and courteous service to customers.
  • Collect signatures for goods delivered and ensure proper payment procedures are followed.
  • Maintain truck logs, trip reports, fuel tickets, toll tickets, and vehicle condition reports to comply with state and federal regulations.
  • Inspect truck equipment and supplies, including tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water, to ensure safe operation.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Position blocks and tie rope around items to secure cargo during transit, ensuring proper load stability and balance.
  • Handle monies concerning COD/cash deliveries and assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
  • Assist with warehouse duties, including loading and unloading materials, counting and weighing units, and attaching identifying tags or labels.
  • Operate forklifts or electric hoists to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Class A driver's license.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.
