Job Summary

Rumford Hospital is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN to join our team in the Special Care Unit (SCU). As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients requiring ventilator support.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients requiring ventilator support.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Monitor and manage patient conditions using telemetry monitoring and capnography capabilities.
  • Administer medications using Omnicell and CERNER systems.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members using SBAR communication.
  • Participate in unit orientation and training programs to ensure seamless integration into the team.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the United States.
  • 2 years of experience in critical care or ICU setting.
  • ACLS, BCLS, and Critical Care or IMC Course certification.
  • Ability to work 4x12 night shifts, with no call requirement.
  • Ability to float to a medsurg assignment if no SCU level patient on unit.
Unit Information
  • Special Procedures/Unit Details: ED physician, nursing supervisor, and Respiratory therapy in house 24/7.
  • Special Equipment: Telemetry monitoring, capnography capabilities, Omnicell, CERNER, SBAR.
  • Unit Orientation: 24hrs - Two twelve hour shifts for orientation.
