The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering patient-centered, specialized, evidence-based nursing care throughout the continuum of care. This role involves an interprofessional approach to treatment, research, education, and advocacy. The RN contributes to departmental goals by ensuring the provision of compassionate and safe care, adhering to the standards set by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing and ThedaCare policies. Through collaborative efforts with the care team, the RN is accountable for achieving patient outcomes that align with the high standards of care upheld by ThedaCare. This position also promotes a culture of innovation and a commitment to professional growth within the nursing practice.

Qualifications:

  • Current Wisconsin RN Licensure
  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an Associate Degree in Nursing with a commitment to obtain the BSN within five years
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance
  • Job classification involves exposure to bloodborne pathogens while performing duties
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination necessary for patient care procedures

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36

Scheduled FTE: 0.9

Overtime Status: Non-exempt
