Job Description:

As a CDL A Delivery Truck Driver with Performance Foodservice, you will play a critical role in delivering food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner. This is a unique opportunity to join a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about providing excellent customer service and ensuring the success of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver food and food-related products to customers.
  • Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip safety checks on the tractor trailer and trailer to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Load and unload products from the trailer, transport items into designated customer storage areas, and verify delivery of items with customers.
  • Collect money (cash or checks) where required and load customer returns onto the trailer.
Requirements:
  • 12+ months commercial driving experience.
  • Valid CDL A license.
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Pass road test.
  • Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
