Eastern Staffing and Recruiting is in search of a skilled Forklift and Clamp Truck Specialist to become a valuable member of our client's workforce.
The primary role involves ensuring the secure operation of all machinery on the packaging line while adhering to established safety and quality protocols as outlined in the company's standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6 AM - 3 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Efficiently load, unload, and receive incoming shipments utilizing a clamp truck and/or forklift.
2. Accurately scan new inventory into the inventory management system.
3. Evaluate the quality of packed products and report any discrepancies to the team lead.
4. Operate automated bagging machinery to ensure proper sealing of individual bags.
5. Troubleshoot and adjust packaging equipment in line with established work standards.
6. Label products with precision and efficiency.
7. Pack finished goods accurately and in accordance with specifications.
8. Manually palletize products as required.
9. Maintain efficiency and accuracy in both equipment operation and manual tasks.
10. Complete necessary production documentation with precise information.
11. Uphold a clean and sanitary workspace throughout the shift.
12. Follow the production schedule diligently.
13. Report directly to the Production Supervisor on the first shift.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a Forklift/Clamp truck.
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Flexibility to work full shifts and overtime as needed.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or warehouse settings is advantageous.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Positive demeanor and teamwork-oriented.
- Ability to manage unexpected changes effectively.
The estimated hourly wage for this role is $18.00, with the final salary determined by various factors, including qualifications and experience.
