Position Overview

Role Summary

A Naturopathic Physician (ND) delivers comprehensive wellness services designed to enhance overall health and vitality. By employing natural and integrative approaches, NDs identify, treat, and avert health issues by focusing on the underlying factors contributing to ailments. The emphasis is placed on patient education, lifestyle changes, and the application of natural therapies, including dietary guidance, herbal treatments, and other non-invasive modalities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough patient evaluations, encompassing detailed medical histories and physical assessments.
  • Formulate personalized treatment strategies that may incorporate nutritional advice, lifestyle coaching, herbal medicine, dietary supplements, and physical therapies.
  • Instruct and motivate patients to actively engage in their health and wellness journey.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic and integrative approach to patient care.
  • Maintain precise and confidential patient documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay informed about advancements in naturopathic practices and engage in ongoing professional development.

  • Monitor and modify treatments based on patient feedback and clinical outcomes.
  • Provide guidance on health promotion, disease prevention, and natural treatment options.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Naturopathy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid license to practice naturopathic medicine.
  • Extensive knowledge of natural and integrative health practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to holistic, patient-centered care.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Awareness of health and wellness trends.
  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with staff, patients, and community members.

Work Environment

The working environment may include an indoor setting with adequate lighting and ventilation. Occasional responsibilities may require working in various areas of the facility, both indoors and outdoors, potentially in varying weather conditions.
