About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented X-ray Technologist to join our dynamic team at American Family Care Boulder. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, preparing patients for exams, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays and other imaging modalities
  • Prepare patients for exams, including positioning and immobilization
  • Explain procedures to patients and obtain their cooperation
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including ordering and stocking supplies
  • Process images and review for quality control
  • Utilize digital and non-digital diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with approved radiology techniques and policies
  • Aid providers with patient treatments and procedures
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
  • Complete forms and maintain records, logs, and reports
  • Observe safety and security procedures and promote a safe and pleasant work environment
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform medical assisting tasks, including taking vital signs and administering medications
  • Prepare equipment and aid providers during treatment and examination of patients
  • Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved techniques
  • Perform laboratory tests and collect specimens
  • Respond to life-saving situations and follow established protocols
  • Document patient information and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in radiologic technology or related field preferred
  • Current certification as a Limited Scope X-ray Technologist (LSRT) or Radiologic Technologist (RT) required
  • Ability to work a 12-hour shift and rotate among various clinical services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
