The Program Manager, Onboarding and Learning and Development is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering a comprehensive onboarding program for new employees.

This includes focusing holistically on the new hire's onboarding journey, incorporating various people processes and programs, as well as ensuring employee and manager training requirements are met.

The role involves collaborating with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure that new employees receive a positive and effective onboarding experience that helps them acclimate to the company culture, understand their role and responsibilities, and become productive members of their team.

While this role's primary focus is on new hire success, it will also support other learning programs as needed.

What You Will Do:

Be the lead facilitator of New Employee Orientation (NEO) in North America and ensure that new employees receive a positive and welcoming experience, and that their questions and concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner.

Manage, enhance, and create onboarding content to ensure that new employees receive timely and accurate information necessary to acclimate quickly to the Confluent culture.

Manage the onboarding process, including scheduling of facilitators and guest speakers, logistics (i.e. facilitation schedules, communications, swag), quarterly updates, and evaluation methods.

Conduct train-the-trainer events for NEO facilitators and other learning and/or onboarding programs to ensure consistency and quality of delivery.

Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the onboarding program and make recommendations for continuous improvement leveraging Kirkpatrick's four levels of training evaluation as well as focus group data and engagement survey KPIs.

Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to maintain accurate content and presentation materials.

Manage onboarding and learning content in our LMS and corporate intranet.

What You Will Bring:

5+ years of relevant experience in HR, Onboarding, Recruiting, or Learning and Development, with proven experience building and implementing successful employee programs.

Virtual and in-person facilitation experience, including experience with using web conferencing platforms to host small and large classes using features such as break-out rooms, whiteboards, chat, and screen sharing.

Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work independently to propose ideas, create content, and deliver on deadlines.

Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.

What Gives You an Edge:

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective onboarding strategies and programs from orientation throughout a new hire's first year of employment.

Proven expertise in developing and delivering learning content for virtual and asynchronous delivery.

Experience using Workday Learning, as well as industry-standard content authoring and survey tools.

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make recommendations based on findings.
