Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Preschool Teacher to join our team at Behavioral Health Network. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children aged 2-5 years old. Your primary responsibility will be to plan and implement activities that promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children in your care. You will work closely with the Preschool Lead Teacher, Preschool Teacher, or Teacher's Aide to ensure the safety, hygiene, and emotional security of the children. Your experience, knowledge, and skills will support the Kidstop Children Center program in achieving its goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement lesson plans and activities for the classroom using EEC-approved curriculum and guidelines.
  • Maintain an attractive, clean, and organized space in coordination with other staff and in accordance with licensing requirements.
  • Communicate pertinent information regarding families and children to the Center Director.
  • Work positively with others to achieve classroom goals.
  • Learn and follow all EEC policies and regulations, including safety, special needs, redirection, behavioral management, and appropriate language.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all children, parents, and staff.
  • Engage in Professional Development and schedule sufficient training hours to maintain required EC qualifications.


Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must meet EEC qualifications for a Preschool Teacher.
  • 1+ year experience preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid Certified, or the ability to be certified within 3 months.
  • Ability to adapt teaching style as necessary in accordance with EEC standards or as requested by the Center Director.
  • Ability to adapt curriculum to the needs of any child in care.
  • Willingness to work in other classrooms and with varying groups of children as assigned by the Center Director.
  • Have the personal qualities to work effectively with children, parents, and staff in a dynamic, busy, and often noisy setting.
  • Is flexible in the acceptance of assignments and work hours.

Our Kidstop Infant, Toddler, and Preschool programs are licensed and accredited by the National Association of the Education of Young Children, serving the children and families of the Ware and Palmer, MA area. We provide children from 2 months to 5 years old with care and educational services, maintaining a small ratio of teachers to children to ensure the quality of care. Our programs offer a structured curriculum, free play, meals, snacks, planned rest, and daily outside play.
