About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Klamath Basin Behavioral Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide invaluable assistance to clients, under the direction of a psychiatrist, to advocate for excellent patient care and achieve the best outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support to psychiatric providers or clinical therapists, including transcription of notes, filing, scheduling of appointments, telephone contact with clients and community partners, contacting insurance companies, and other support duties as needed.
  • Assist with implementing care plans and making clinical decisions.
  • Assess and document vital signs, weight, height, side effects from medications, and responses to medications.
  • Provide education to patients and family on medications.
  • Elicit history and information from the patient/family in an efficient manner while forming a therapeutic alliance with the patient and family.
  • Maintain medication samples and work with pharmaceutical representatives to provide appropriate stock of sample medications.
  • Interact with clinical and administrative staff as liaison for psychiatric providers to provide information and address basic requests/needs on behalf of the providers.
  • Coordinate and consult with PCP, medical specialists, hospitals, rehabilitation programs, and other services on behalf of clients.
  • Provide basic nursing assessment and care for minor illness or injury in support of other KBBH programs as needed.
Requirements
  • Must be licensed as an RN in the state of Oregon.
  • At least 2 years' experience in professional nursing fieldwork is preferred.
